Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This page explains what information is collected when you visit ronggeng.net, who collects it, and what you can do about it. The short version: the site itself collects nothing about you unless you send a message through the contact form, and the advertising on it does use cookies.

What this site does not do

Ronggeng is a static website. There are no user accounts, no comments and no newsletter. The only place where you can enter personal information is the contact form, described below. The site does not run any analytics or visitor tracking of its own.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the web server that hosts ronggeng.net keeps standard access logs. They record your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. These logs are used only to keep the server running and to deal with abuse. They are not combined with other data, and they are deleted after a limited period. The site itself sets no cookies.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact page, the name, email address, topic and message you enter are sent by email to the site's mailbox. Your IP address and the time are sent with them. They are used only to read and answer your message. They are not added to any mailing list, and they are not shared with anyone else. Messages are kept in the mailbox for as long as they are useful for that conversation. To have a message deleted, ask in a reply or a new message.

To keep out automated spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. When you send a message, Turnstile runs a check in your browser and may collect technical information about your browser and device to tell people apart from bots. It is loaded only when you press "Send message", not when you read the site. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy. To limit abuse, the site also keeps a short-lived record of how many messages came from your IP address in the last hour. This record is stored under a one-way hash of the address.

Advertising and Google AdSense

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

Google uses advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick and other Google cookies. These cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Ads may also be shown without personalisation. In that case, cookies may still be used for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Your choices

  • You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The articles on this site work without cookies. You may simply see less relevant ads.

Visitors in the EEA and the UK

If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Google may show you a consent message before personalised ads are served. Your choice in that message determines whether cookies are used for personalised advertising. You can change your decision later through the privacy or consent link shown by that message, where it is displayed.

Theme preference

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so that the site remembers it on your next visit. This value stays on your device. It is never sent to the server or to anyone else, and you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.

Children

This site is a technical resource written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site works changes, for example if a new service is added, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. The policy that applies is always the one published here.
